Our Fleet

Hughes 300

We operate the Hughes 300 as our primary training helicopter. The H300 was designed specifically as a flight training helicopter and has a number of added safety benefits. Its forgiving nature and cost-effectiveness means we can rest-assured that we are providing our students with the best platform for flight training currently available.

From the fully-articulated rotor design (meaning added stability and safety) to the ample cabin space, we're sure you will love flying the H300 as much as we do!

Available Aircraft Types

While we conduct most of our flight training in the Hughes 300, we are lucky enough to have access to a wide range of aircraft types, all of which our instructors operate regularly on a variety of commercial work. We can conduct Type Ratings or additional training on any of the following aircraft types:

Bell 206 JetRanger

The JetRanger is the most common turbine helicopter in the world and adding your first turbine rating compliments your licence nicely. Widely used in the commercial sector the JetRanger is also a common choice for those looking at helicopter ownership.

MD500 Series

Whether it is a D or E model you wish to fly, we have you covered. The MD500 has a special place in the heart of most kiwi pilots and are known as the 'ferrari of the skies'. The MD500 makes a great entry level turbine rating and compliments a commercial licence nicely.

AS350 Squirrel
New Zealand has more 'Squirrel' helicopters per capata than any other country in the world. Commonly seen fighting fires, showing tourists our glaciers or spraying weeds and crops, the AS350 is a versatile work-horse of the industry. A decent step up in size and complexity, you'll need to allow more time to gain a rating.
