Instructing is an incredibly rewarding career. Instructing can be a dedicated role or carried out alongside a commercial role.

To be eligible for a Flight Instructor Rating:

• a commercial pilot licence
• 250 hours in helicopters
• 150hrs as Pilot in Command in helicopters

Theory

• Extensive knowledge of helicopter principles of flight
• Extensive knowledge of navigation
• Extensive knowledge of meteorology 
• Completed an approved Instructional Techniques course

Flight Training

• 25 hours of flight instructor training
