Private Pilot Licence
A private pilot licence allows you to fly a helicopter and carry passengers recreationally or for private use.
To be eligible for a Private Pilot Licence:
- 17 years old
- DL9 or Class 2 Aviation Medical Certificate
- Fit and Proper Person Assessment
Theory:
There is six subjects which must be passed with 70% or more
- Flight Radio
- Human Factors
- Air Law
- Navigation & Flight Planning
- Meteorology
- Aircraft Technical Knowledge
Minimum Flight Time
- Cross-country: 10 hours
- Mountain: 5 hours
- Dual instruction: 30 hours
- Solo flight: 15 hours
- Total: 50 hours
Time Frame
- Full-time: allow 3-5 months
- Part-time: allow 12 months
