Yes, many of our students train part time

The theory is comprehensive. There are six exams for PPL and a further six for CPL. These cover Flight Radio, Human Factors, Air Law, Meteorology, Navigation, Aircraft Technical Knowledge and Principle of Flight (Aerodynamics). You definitely don’t need to be a rocket scientist but these exams shouldn’t be under estimated and some application is required.

Job prospects are really good and provide great variety; from agricultural spraying/top-dressing, police, rescue, tourism, conservation, corporate charter, fire-fighting and much more. It takes dedication, sacrifice and patience to gain your first flying job, and it maybe beneficial to visit a number of companies in person. Be prepared to work in a ground based role for a short period while you build a relationship with the company. With a good attitude and work ethic, you will have an exciting and rewarding career.
